Betjemans have two distinctive ranges of traditional Dovecotes, the County range which have a choice of roof styles and cote designs, and the Banbury range with their impressive high sloping timber roofs, Gothic or Roman entrances, the corners of the cote are enhanced with hand turned half pilasters. All our dovecotes and bird tables are made to order giving flexibility of optional styles and finishes. The beauty and timeless elegance of Betjemans dovecotes will enhance any garden, so you really don't have to keep doves to have a dovecote.
Betjemans dovecotes have been designed in conjunction with the fancy pigeon association who gave help and advice on the best form of structure, and recommendations on the internal living areas. Each pair of birds has at least 1 sq. foot of floor space within each bay and the flight decks are large enough to allow access to and from the cote. Also the doorways to the cote are at least 3 1/2 " wide by 5" high. The cotes stand at least 6' 6" from the ground and are supported on a decorative 4" x 4" post (which are supplied as standard). All the Dovecotes have a detachable roof and full fixing instructions are included. Betjemans always use microporous stain or paint finish as required to choice. We operate a nation wide delivery to UK mainland. UK Delivery is usually 10-14 days from date of order. We also offer an International delivery service to the Europe and USA, please ask for a quotation. Western Europe and Ireland is normally 17-21 days, USA is normally 21-28 days.
